Our Story

The Roberts Ridge Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1962 by a group of dedicated community members who sought to enhance fire protection in the area. Initially, the department held meetings at Ebenezer Methodist Church before securing a permanent home at the former Clay Elementary School. The department's first piece of equipment, Engine 1, was eventually relocated to the Marshall County Fairgrounds following the acquisition of the current Engine 1.

Throughout its history, the department has faced numerous challenges, but it has continued to grow and evolve. Today, the Roberts Ridge Volunteer Fire Department operates from its modern facility located at 23 Kansas Ridge Lane in Moundsville, WV. The department is equipped with two pumpers, a tanker, a rescue unit, a rapid response vehicle, and an off-road EMS vehicle, enabling us to effectively serve both urban and remote areas.
